A doubles vendor has reportedly been dismissed from his job after a video circulating on social media appeared to show him engaging in unsanitary practices while on duty.
The video, which quickly gained traction on TikTok and other platforms, allegedly shows the vendor urinating near his food stall before returning to food preparation without properly washing or sanitizing his hands. Viewers also claimed the individual continued handling food while wearing the same gloves used during the incident.
The footage triggered widespread public outrage, with many citizens expressing concern about food safety standards among street food vendors. Social media users called for increased inspections, stricter enforcement of public health regulations, and greater accountability within the food service industry.
In a public statement shared online, the business confirmed that it had conducted an immediate internal review following the incident. The company stated that the employee’s actions fell “far below the standards of hygiene, professionalism, and food safety” expected at the establishment.
The statement further revealed that the employee involved had been terminated and is no longer associated with the business.
Health authorities have not yet publicly commented on whether any formal investigation or inspection has been launched. However, many citizens are urging regulators to use the incident as an opportunity to strengthen food safety education and monitoring across the sector.
