Az EU várakozással tekint az együttműködés elé a következő izraeli kormánnyal

The European Union (EU) expressed optimism about future cooperation with Israel’s new government, emphasizing its commitment to long‑term relationships, democratic principles and shared values. In a statement released on Wednesday by a spokesperson for the EU’s Foreign Service, Brussels said the EU looks forward to deepening people‑to‑people ties with Israel. The EU congratulated the Israeli people on the recent elections, noting that the high voter turnout “reflects Israel’s vibrant democracy.” The statement reiterated that the EU’s approach remains based on honest and open dialogue, aimed at advancing bilateral cooperation, addressing any emerging concerns, and promoting regional stability, security and a fair, lasting peace. According to a midday release from Israel’s Central Election Committee, the coalition led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu secured 53 seats in the Knesset, while the coalition headed by Gadi Eizenkot won 48 seats. These figures were reported after all votes in the constituencies had been counted, but before the votes in the double‑envelope ballots were tallied. The information was provided to the Israeli news agency MTI.
