Group pledges massive votes for Tinubu

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a coalition of support groups in Akwa Ibom State, announced that it will mobilise voters for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the 2027 general elections. The group pledged to deliver “massive votes” for Tinubu in every polling unit, ward and local government area (LGA) in the state, and to support the re‑election of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Governor Umo Eno and other APC nominees. The pledge was made during a strategic meeting held in Uyo, the state capital, where the group’s State Coordinator, Prince Ikim, addressed local government and ward coordinators and other members. Ikim praised the economic reforms of the Tinubu administration, noting that the stabilization of the naira and the removal of the fuel subsidy had prevented a collapse of the economy. “This meeting is long overdue. It is to bring us together because we are of one party. We have one message and what is the message? It is the message of the Renewed Hope Agenda. It is the message of the ARISE Agenda,” Ikim said. He described Tinubu as an intentional leader who has supported people‑oriented projects in Akwa Ibom and across Nigeria, adding that without the president’s political will the country would have collapsed. Former Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Aniekan Uko, also spoke at the meeting. He said the Renewed Hope Ambassadors would galvanise votes for Tinubu, Akpabio, Eno and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections. Representing the Eket Senatorial District, Charles Mbong called for extensive voter sensitisation to ensure that residents obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). “We cannot win the upcoming election without encouraging our supporters to get their PVCs,” Mbong said. “Returning Tinubu, Akpabio, Umo Eno and other APC candidates is a task that must be done.” The group’s statements were made in the context of the upcoming 2027 general elections, in which the APC is seeking to maintain its incumbency in Akwa Ibom State.
