Trinidad retailer lists 2TB iPhone Duo as already sold out.

The newly launched Apple iPhone Duo has already made its way to Trinidad and Tobago, and its price tag is attracting attention. One local retailer is advertising the premium 2TB model for a whopping TT$35,000, but perhaps the bigger talking point is that the device is already listed as sold out.

APSS Buy Sell Trade recently shared an Instagram advertisement showcasing Apple’s first foldable iPhone, just days after its international release on 23 October 2026.

According to the retailer’s listing, the 256GB model carries a price of TT$22,000, while the 512GB version is advertised at TT$25,000 with limited stock remaining. The 1TB model is priced at TT$28,000, and the top-of-the-range 2TB version comes in at TT$35,000.

Interestingly, the retailer has marked the 256GB, 1TB and 2TB versions as sold out, although the advertisement does not indicate how many units were originally available or purchased.

For comparison, Apple’s official United States pricing begins at US$1,999 for the 256GB model, rising to US$2,199 for 512GB, US$2,599 for 1TB and US$3,199 for the 2TB version.

Of course, international retail prices cannot always be compared through currency conversion alone. Shipping, import costs, taxes, product availability and operating expenses can all influence what consumers pay locally.

The iPhone Duo represents a significant change in Apple’s smartphone design. It features a 5.4-inch external display that opens into a larger 7.6-inch folding screen, effectively combining elements of a smartphone and a small tablet. The device also features a titanium design and Apple’s A20 Pro chip.

International demand has reportedly been strong. Reuters reported that limited supplies and heavy pre-order interest pushed some delivery estimates into January 2027, highlighting the excitement surrounding Apple’s entry into the foldable smartphone market.

For technology enthusiasts, early adopters and consumers who enjoy owning the latest devices, the Duo offers something different from the traditional iPhone experience.

Ultimately, purchasing a premium smartphone is a personal choice based on affordability, preferences and individual needs. Local businesses are also free to establish their own retail prices, while customers decide whether the product represents value to them.

However, the arrival of a TT$35,000 smartphone on the Trinidad and Tobago market is noteworthy in itself.

And with the retailer already listing its most expensive version as sold out, the question is no longer simply who would pay TT$35,000 for a phone, but how much longer the stocks will last.
