Traditional gold – 1,48,016 Tk per kilogram. The price cut follows a decline in the price of pure gold, prompting BAJUS to adjust the rates in line with the overall market situation. Silver prices 22‑carat silver – 3,849 Tk per kilogram. 21‑carat silver – 3,674 Tk per kilogram. 18‑carat silver – 3,149 Tk per kilogram. Traditional silver – 2,391 Tk per kilogram. Silver prices remained unchanged. Additional guidelines Chairman Dr. Dewan Aminul Islam Shahin clarified that wages will be applied according to the design of the jewelry. The sale price of gold and silver jewelry already includes VAT; therefore, separate VAT collection from customers is not permitted. For exchange and purchase transactions, a deduction of 12 % and 18 % respectively is required, and VAT cannot be deducted separately in these cases. Until a further decision is issued, the new prices will be applicable across all jewelry establishments in the country. Article source: Ajker Patrika | Image credit: Ajker Patrika
