A family is appealing for assistance in locating their beloved parrot after the bird flew away in the Cashew Gardens area. The parrot reportedly went missing somewhere between Malacca Drive and Sea Grape Drive. It is described as a medium-sized bird with predominantly green feathers, a yellow forehead and distinctive red markings on its wing and tail. The family says the parrot is friendly and deeply loved. Residents of Cashew Gardens and surrounding communities are being asked to keep an eye on trees, rooftops, yards and other areas where the bird may have landed. Anyone who sees the parrot or has information that may help reunite it with its family can contact 364-8935, 334-2514, 324-8472 or 391-0995. The family is hoping the public can help bring their feathered companion safely home.
