Characters and legends featured in the production include La Diablesse, Sapine and Maria the Highway Ghost. Ramjattan, a student of Parvati Girls’ Hindu College, has already gained experience through local theatre and national performing arts competitions. Her previous stage work includes Life with the Ramsinghs: Window to the Past at the Naparima Bowl, while she has also participated in NGC Sanfest. Her wider performing arts background includes vocal performances, national competitions and international pageantry. She also held the title of Miss Teen India Trinidad and Tobago 2025. According to organisers, Ramjattan’s role will form part of the production’s central battle between light and darkness as its characters confront love, loss and supernatural forces rooted in Trinidad and Tobago’s folklore traditions. Public performances of Folklore in Love – A Deal With Darkness are scheduled from October 23 to 25, 2027, at the Naparima Bowl. School performances are scheduled for October 24 and 25.
