Face à la progression des Houthis : Washington approuve la vente d’avions de chasse F-35 à l’Arabie saoudite

The United States Department of State has announced its approval for a potential sale of F-35 Lightning II fighter jets to Saudi Arabia. The proposed transaction comes amid concerns regarding the ongoing military progression of Houthi forces in the region.

According to the Department of State, the deal includes the provision of 48 aircraft and 49 Pratt and Whitney engines. The package also encompasses essential communication equipment, spare parts, and various other supplies necessary for the operation and maintenance of the fleet.

While the Department of State has cleared the sale, the transaction remains subject to final approval by the United States Congress. No further details regarding the timeline for the potential delivery or the total financial value of the contract were immediately disclosed.
