Katare, who holds a Master of Science degree in microbiology, had been responsible for establishing the science laboratories at the institution. Following the closure of the college, she opted to pursue entrepreneurship rather than accepting teaching positions at other institutions.
Drawing on her academic background, Katare utilized her knowledge of microbiology and mushroom cultivation, a subject she had previously taught to her students. She now operates a mushroom farming business that generates monthly earnings of up to Rs 1.5 lakh.
Originally from Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, Katare completed her postgraduate studies at Jiwaji University in Gwalior before beginning her teaching career in 2007. She stated that the experience of seeing her former workplace demolished motivated her to build a business venture of her own.
