A gas explosion occurred in the center of Sant Julia de Loria on Friday afternoon, causing approximately a dozen manhole covers to be dislodged along Avinguda Verge de Canolich. The incident took place at approximately 1:00 p.m. during the emptying of a gas tank.
Authorities reported that the explosion was caused by gas accumulating within the rainwater drainage network. Despite the force of the blast, there were no injuries reported, and no building evacuations were necessary. The explosion did, however, result in material damage to two nearby vehicles.
