Former Chief Justice Sie-A-Nyene Gyapay Yuoh has criticized the development process of Liberia’s national development plan, the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID). Speaking in Monrovia on September 11, 2026, Yuoh stated that the plan was formulated primarily by the Executive Branch.
According to the former Chief Justice, the process lacked adequate consultation with and participation from the Judiciary. Yuoh argued that this insufficient involvement from the judicial branch resulted in the exclusion of key judicial priorities within the national agenda.
