Prestige Holdings has reopened its refurbished Subway outlet in downtown Port-of-Spain, marking another upgrade to the restaurant brand’s presence in the capital.
The outlet, located at the corner of Queen Janelle Commissiong Street and Edward Street, was officially reopened during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday.
Prestige Holdings CEO and KFC Vice President Simon Hardy was joined by Port-of-Spain Mayor Chinua Alleyne for the occasion.
Following the ribbon cutting, Hardy and Alleyne were photographed shaking hands outside the refurbished restaurant as the upgraded location was formally unveiled.
Prestige Holdings is one of Trinidad and Tobago’s major restaurant management companies and operates several international restaurant brands locally.
The reopening places a refreshed Subway outlet within one of Port-of-Spain’s busiest commercial areas, catering to workers, shoppers, commuters and other customers moving through the capital.
Queen Janelle Commissiong Street, formerly Queen Street, was renamed in 2017 in honour of Trinidad and Tobago’s first Miss Universe winner, Janelle “Penny” Commissiong.
The refurbished Subway location is now operating from the corner of Queen Janelle Commissiong Street and Edward Street in Port-of-Spain.
