Relievers Anthony Gose, José Cuas, Connor Thomas and Nolan Hoffman combined for three scoreless innings.

Bobby Witt Jr. went 2‑for‑4, driving in two runs with a double. Nick Loftin added two hits and an RBI single. The Royals’ offense scored early, with John Rave reaching on an infield single and Witt walking before Pasquantino launched a three‑run homer to right in the first inning. Witt followed with a double in the third, and Pérez hit a two‑run home run over the left‑center wall, extending Kansas City’s lead to 5‑0.

Toronto’s only run came in the sixth inning when Josh Smith hit a solo shot. The Blue Jays’ lineup, which included Brett Bateman (three hits) and Vladimir Guerrero Jr., failed to generate additional offense. Toronto’s starting pitcher Spencer Arrighetti was relieved by Braydon Fisher after allowing six runs on six hits, three walks, and three strikeouts over 4 ⅔ innings.
