**New Digital Platform “Ayatko” Launches to Connect Filipino Communities**

**SAN NICOLAS, Ilocos Norte** – A new digital platform named “Ayatko” was formally launched on August 22 at the Twins Function Hall in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte. The application is designed to facilitate connections among Filipinos both within the Philippines and abroad, focusing on family, community, and cultural engagement.

The platform was developed by Aurelio Almazan Jr., an entrepreneur from Barangay Bengcag, Laoag City, who is currently based in Texas, United States. According to Almazan, the application aims to bridge geographical gaps between barangays, municipalities, and provinces, as well as international locations.

Almazan stated that the platform distinguishes itself from conventional social media by omitting algorithm-driven feeds, advertisements, and the sale of user data. He described the application as a privacy-conscious environment intended to foster authentic, community-centered interactions.

Among the features highlighted during the launch is “Harana,” which allows users to send digital musical serenades via shareable links. This feature is designed to be accessible even to individuals who have not yet registered for the application.

The launch event featured a presentation by Almazan, who joined the proceedings via Zoom.
