**InstaPay Users Warned About New AI‑Powered Phishing Scam Targeting Bank Accounts**
Cybersecurity specialist Mostafa Rahim has cautioned users of Egypt’s digital payment platform InstaPay and other banking services about a surge in sophisticated phishing attacks that employ artificial intelligence to replicate official bank websites and interfaces.
During a televised interview on the television program *Sabah El‑Balad*, Rahim explained that fraudsters are using AI tools to create highly convincing copies of bank login pages and mobile app screens. These counterfeit interfaces are designed to trick users into entering their credentials, which scammers then use to access bank accounts and transfer funds.
The warning comes as part of a broader effort to raise awareness of the growing threat posed by AI‑driven phishing schemes. Rahim urged users to verify the authenticity of any banking or payment platform by checking the URL, looking for secure connection indicators, and contacting the institution directly if they suspect suspicious activity.
