**Funkfit American Samoa Wins First Place in Scaled Division at 11th Annual Toa Games**
APIA, Samoa – Funkfit American Samoa secured first place in the Scaled Division of the 11th Annual Toa Games, a CrossFit‑inspired competition hosted by CrossFit Fatu Toa in Apia.
The event featured 12 teams competing in a series of strength and endurance challenges. Funkfit’s team, led by captain Kennedy Nofoagatotoa and supported by teammates Jarret Sunia, Olivia Hogarth and Alzy Mailei, delivered a consistent performance that earned them the top spot.
“This victory marks a monumental moment for Funkfit American Samoa, representing the gym’s first Toa Games win in any division,” the team said. They also thanked Coach Claude Young of Funkfit and Walterlee Imo of CrossFit Apia for their leadership and coaching, as well as the support of families, friends and the wider community.
The win highlights the growing presence of CrossFit‑style competitions in Samoa and underscores the dedication of local athletes and coaches to the sport.
