The “Há Festa na Aldeia” cultural programme will return to the Parque Temático Molinológico in the parish of Ul for a two‑day event aimed at highlighting local traditions and identity. Organized by the Associação de Turismo de Aldeia (ATA) in partnership with the Associação de Desenvolvimento Rural Integrado das Terras de Santa Maria and supported by the Câmara Municipal de Oliveira de Azeméis, the festival is part of the broader “Aldeias de Portugal” rural‑development initiative.
**Program highlights**
* **Gastronomy** – The Festival of Flavours with Identity will feature the traditional Pão de Ul, complemented by a village market (Mercado d’Aldeia).
* **Mobile performances** – On Saturday, singers Joaquim Ferreira and Helena Almeida will lead a series of itinerant musical acts. Additional participants include the Grupo de Cavaquinhos of the Universidade Sénior de Oliveira de Azeméis, the group “Boca de Cão” (Agostinho and Felicidade), and the Zés Pereiras from the Aldeia de Portugal in Oliveira do Conde. The clown‑and‑malabarism troupe Muda‑te will also perform at several locations: Ul (13:30 and 20:30), Azinheira (15:30) and Travanca (17:00). At 19:00, the stage will host ACeiTe, presented by A Trupe, focusing on percussion‑based artistic expression.
* **Sunday activities** – A free eight‑kilometre walking tour, organized with the Centro Municipal de Marcha e Corrida de Oliveira de Azeméis, will start with a gathering at 08:30 in the Parque Temático Molinológico and depart at 09:00. The route passes through Damonde, Avelão and Ul, and registration is required by 16 September. A “Passeio de Pasteleiras” (historical bicycle ride) will commence at 10:00 from Largo da Igreja, coordinated with the Associação de Cicloturismo do Centro and the group Ciclistas com História. At 11:00, the Clube Taekwondo Marcial Angels will offer a 45‑minute open‑to‑public taekwondo class, also requiring prior registration.
The organizers have indicated that additional programme details will be released progressively. The event seeks to foster interaction between residents and visitors while promoting Ul’s cultural heritage, particularly its historic watermills, which remain a defining feature of the parish.
