**STARLUX Airlines Introduces Gold‑Liveried Airbus A350‑1000 at Prague Airport**

Václav Havel Airport in Prague received a gold‑painted Airbus A350‑1000 operated by Taiwan‑based STARLUX Airlines on Tuesday, 1 September 2024. The aircraft, registered B‑58554, features the “AIR‑SORAYAMA” gold livery that was created in collaboration with Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama.

The livery was developed jointly by STARLUX, Airbus and paint specialist Mankiewicz, which applied a multilayer coating containing mica particles to achieve the metallic finish while complying with aviation safety standards.

Prague is one of three cities where STARLUX plans to operate the specially liveried A350‑1000 on a regular schedule, the other two being Tokyo and Phoenix. The aircraft can accommodate up to 350 passengers across four travel classes.

STARLUX launched its Prague‑Taipei service on 1 August 2024, initially using an Airbus A350‑900. Beginning in September, the airline switched to the larger A350‑1000 on the route. The service operates three times weekly: flights depart Taipei at 12:10 a.m. (flight JX101) and arrive in Prague at 8:35 a.m., while the return flight (JX102) leaves Prague at 10:35 a.m.

The introduction of the gold‑liveried aircraft marks a further step in STARLUX’s expansion of its direct connection between the Czech capital and Taiwan’s capital, Taipei.
