**IAF International Squash Championship 2026 Opens in Chandigarh**
*Chandigarh, Punjab – August 31, 2026* – The Indian Air Force International Squash Championship 2026 began today at the Base Repair Depot of Air Force Station Chandigarh. The event, which will run until September 4, brings together six teams, including international squads from the United Kingdom and Sri Lanka, as well as veteran players.
The opening ceremony was attended by Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Chief of the Air Staff, who served as the chief guest. In his remarks, Singh welcomed all participants and emphasized the role of international sporting events in fostering camaraderie, mutual respect, and friendship among nations.
During the ceremony, a friendly match was played between the Chief of the Air Staff and Air Marshal M Baladitya (Retd.) alongside Captain Dan Peskett of the United Kingdom.
The championship will feature both team events and an open singles category, showcasing elite national and international squash talent. The competition is scheduled to conclude on September 4, 2026.
