**Cacao Trace Project Concludes in the Dominican Republic**

*Dominican Republic –* The Dominican Agribusiness Board (JAD) and the Codespa Foundation announced the completion of the Cacao Trace Project, an initiative funded by the European Union aimed at supporting small‑scale cocoa producers in the Monte Plata region.

The project was launched to help local farmers meet the increasing international demand for sustainably produced cocoa. Throughout its duration, the program provided technical assistance, training, and resources intended to improve traceability and environmental practices within the Dominican cocoa sector.

Both JAD and the Codespa Foundation highlighted the collaboration with EU partners as a key factor in strengthening the capacity of Monte Plata growers to produce cocoa that complies with global sustainability standards.

The conclusion of the Cacao Trace Project marks the end of the EU‑funded effort, which sought to enhance the competitiveness of Dominican cocoa on the world market while promoting responsible agricultural practices.
