**Cambodia‑Thailand Border Remains Fragile, Prime Minister Says**
Phnom Penh – Prime Minister Hun Manet told delegates at the opening of the 2nd Inter‑Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC‑2) that, despite a ceasefire agreement reached between Cambodia and Thailand in late 2025, the situation along the two countries’ border remains “fragile.”
Speaking in a keynote address on August 26, the prime minister noted that “thousands of military personnel are still facing each other” and that “de‑escalation measures have yet to be fully implemented.” He added that Cambodia remains “committed to resolving disputes peacefully and in accordance with international law.”
