UDeCOTT Raises Government Plaza Parkade Rates, Alters Monthly Parking System for Greater Flexibility

The Urban Development Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago (UDeCOTT) has announced an increase in parking rates at the Government Plaza Parkade in Port of Spain, effective September 1, 2026. This move will see reserved monthly parking rates rise by $50, from $600 to $650, and VIP monthly parking rates increase from $700 to $750.

Changes in the monthly parking system are also being introduced. Customers will no longer have a dedicated parking space. Instead, they will be able to use any available reserved space on their assigned parking levels. This adjustment, according to UDeCOTT, aims to enhance flexibility, optimize space utilization, and simplify parking access.

VIP parking will remain situated on the ground floor of the parkade, maintaining its existing location. The reserved parking for monthly customers will now be on levels two through 12 on the western side of the facility. Meanwhile, hourly and daily transient parking will be available on the eastern side of those levels.

UDeCOTT, a state-owned entity, manages the Government Plaza Parkade, which provides essential parking services for both government staff and visitors in downtown Port of Spain. The new rates and system changes are part of UDeCOTT’s efforts to streamline and improve service delivery at one of its key facilities.
