Equity Bank Uganda has committed 10 million Ugandan shillings to support the third edition of the 2026 Watoto Golf Tournament. The sponsorship aims to promote women’s economic empowerment and entrepreneurship.
The announcement was made during a partners’ briefing at the Uganda Golf Club, where Equity Bank Uganda Managing Director Gift Shoko stated that the initiative aligns with the bank’s goals.
The tournament is set to conclude on a Saturday at the Uganda Golf Course in Kitante. As part of the sponsorship, a dummy cheque was presented to representatives of Watoto Church Ministries, including Senior Pastor and Team Leader Julius Rwotlonyo, as well as beneficiaries from the Watoto Neighborhood Program, Lucy Akello and Grace Birabwa.
The Watoto Golf Tournament is in its third edition, and Equity Bank’s contribution is expected to support the event’s objectives.
