The Roads Authority (RA) has appointed Eng. Chisomo Dan Kauma as Acting Director of Major Projects, effective July 2, 2026. Eng. Kauma, a Professional Registered Civil Engineer, brings more than 15 years of experience in transport infrastructure development, project management, engineering design, construction supervision and strategic planning. According to the Roads Authority, Kauma has played a key role in various major projects across Malawi. His appointment is expected to strengthen the authority’s capacity to deliver critical road infrastructure. The RA confirmed the appointment in a statement, expressing confidence in Kauma’s ability to lead the major projects division.
