In a gesture of solidarity, Djibouti’s President Ismail Omar Guelleh dispatched Foreign Minister Abdoulkader Houssein Omar to Doha on Tuesday to personally convey his condolences following the death of former Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani.
The Foreign Minister relayed the official condolences of the President, the government, and the people of Djibouti to Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani and the Qatari nation. The visit highlights the strong fraternal ties between the two countries, rooted in shared values and culture.
President Guelleh had earlier paid tribute to the late Emir, who is credited with modernizing Qatar. The mission underscores the depth of Djibouti-Qatar relations, as the two nations continue to strengthen cooperation.
