Italy’s Undersecretary for Enterprises and Made in Italy, Bergamotto, has announced an ambitious target of 700 billion euros in exports by 2027. Speaking on the government’s strategy, Bergamotto emphasized that competitiveness and economic security are increasingly interconnected.
The undersecretary outlined key priorities including innovation, diversification of markets, and strategic autonomy for the production system. The plan also includes strong support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the development of the Blue Economy.
Attracting foreign investment is another pillar of the strategy, which aims to bolster Italy’s global trade position. The 700 billion euro goal represents a significant increase from current levels and reflects the government’s confidence in Italian manufacturing and exports.
