The Route 2 Maxi-Taxi Association has officially ended their protest action after two days, with all maxi-taxis set to resume service by 6 PM today. Vice President Parsana Rampersad confirmed that the decision came after noticing the significant hardship commuters were experiencing during the disruption. As emergency vehicles were deployed to assist commuters, the Association expressed concern over the unresolved issues facing drivers. “While this battle may be over, the war is far from resolved,” Rampersad stated, indicating that the Association will continue to seek avenues to address their grievances with the relevant authorities. Despite the temporary suspension of the protest, drivers remain steadfast in bringing attention to their ongoing concerns.
