A tragic accident on the Archibald De Leon Highway has claimed the life of a 63-year-old man, Brian Aberdeen, from Rousillac. The incident occurred Saturday night at approximately 7:40 p.m. when Aberdeen, driving a black Nissan Wingroad, lost control of his vehicle near the Vance River flyover.
Reports indicate that the vehicle struck a traffic sign, flipped several times, and ultimately plunged around 30 feet into a nearby ditch. First responders discovered Aberdeen approximately 10 feet away from the wreck, lying in bushes. Despite the immediate attention from emergency personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene by a District Medical Officer.
Fire officers from the Point Fortin Fire Station, along with crime scene investigators, quickly arrived to process the area and document the incident. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with authorities working to determine the factors that led to this tragic event.
Aberdeen’s body was subsequently transported to the San Fernando General Hospital mortuary, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted. Meanwhile, the wrecked vehicle has been secured at the La Brea Police Station for further inquiries.
