In a dramatic turn of events, two individuals from Arima who visited a plane crash site have become lost in a forested area. The incident occurred around 11:00 a.m. yesterday and triggered an immediate response from authorities.
The search operation, still ongoing, involves multiple parties. The Air Support Unit, led by Ronny Rampallard, is spearheading the operation. They have partnered with soldiers, Police officers, and the Hunters Search and Rescue Team, led by Commander Shamsudeen Ayube, in a collective effort to locate the missing individuals.
Their efforts have borne fruit as the lost individuals were spotted by a drone operated by the Air Support Unit. However, the rescue mission is complicated by the rough terrain of the forested area.
At present, the Air Support Unit and soldiers are navigating through the challenging terrain in an attempt to reach the individuals. Updates on the situation will be provided as more information becomes available.
