Police are investigating two separate fatal shootings that occurred within hours of each other in the capital, leaving a man and a woman dead.
The first incident took place just before 3:00 p.m., when authorities received reports of a man being shot multiple times. The victim was found outside his home by his girlfriend after she heard gunshots and was rushed to hospital, where he later died.
Hours later, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a second shooting claimed the life of a woman. Reports indicate she was sitting with others when a man believed to be her former partner called her aside. Shortly after, gunshots were heard.
The suspect was seen fleeing on an electric scooter and was later arrested by police, who reportedly found a firearm and ammunition in his possession.
Both incidents remain under active investigation as authorities work to determine motives and circumstances.
