In response, the Minister of Health stated that he was not aware of any impending crisis involving nurses, despite reports suggesting that nurses are planning protests due to their growing burdens. This stance has prompted further criticism from opposition and healthcare advocates who argue that the issues stem from the government’s inability to effectively recruit and retain nursing professionals.
Advocates have been vocal, urging the administration to allocate more resources to address what they describe as a systemic problem hampering healthcare service delivery. The Nurses Association echoed these sentiments, calling for strategic changes to ensure that healthcare workers are not only supported but adequately equipped to meet the demands of the population.
