A Penal community was plunged into shock following a triple homicide in the early hours of Sunday morning. Three young men were found dead at a house located along Sunset Avenue, close to Lachoos Road. The victims were identified as 17-year-old Jordan Cudjoe Burke of Sunset Drive, 22-year-old Ishmael Matthews of Hibiscus Drive, Smart Avenue, and 21-year-old Roberto Samuel Carlos of Corinth Hills, San Fernando.
A resident reported being awakened around 2.56 a.m. by several loud explosions coming from the two-storey house. Upon investigating a downstairs bedroom, he discovered the lifeless bodies of the three men, each with gunshot wounds.
Police officers swiftly arrived at the scene and found the victims in the room. They also discovered multiple spent and live 9mm shells scattered around the room, underlining the deadly nature of the attack.
The scene was subsequently processed by crime scene investigators as they began their grim task of piecing together the events that led to this tragic incident.
