A tragic incident unfolded in Chaguanas, Edinburgh 500, on Saturday, March 14th, 2026, when a TTDF soldier, Jealani Garcia Williams, was fatally shot near the HDC Towers. The incident, which took place around 10:00 p.m., saw responding officers discovering Williams with numerous gunshot wounds. Alongside the victim, three spent shells were found – two with Regiment markings and one with Air Guard markings. Officers also discovered a firearm in Williams’ waistband. As investigations are ongoing, anyone with relevant information is encouraged to come forward.
