Motorist Seeks Advice After Vehicle Damaged While Parked in Arima
A motorist is seeking guidance after discovering damage to their vehicle while it was parked along Tumpuna Road, Arima.
The driver stated that on Saturday 21 February 2026, they parked in front of a hardware store in the area while making a purchase. Upon returning to the vehicle, they noticed it had sustained damage consistent with being struck by another vehicle.
According to the motorist, they made inquiries about possible surveillance footage that may have captured the incident. The individual says they were informed that the camera facing the front of the building was not operational at the time.
The motorist further shared that they were told by someone at the location that the camera had reportedly been used in connection with a separate incident weeks earlier. However, TG News has not independently verified this claim.
The matter has been reported to the police, and the driver has also notified their insurance provider.
The motorist is now seeking advice on how best to proceed in situations where damage occurs in a public parking area and surveillance footage may or may not be available.
