Trinidad and Tobago is in a state of sorrow following the death of renowned broadcaster and singer, Raymond Edwards. Known for his distinctive voice, Edwards dedicated over two decades of his life to the fields of music and media. His musical journey, which began in 1993 under the mentorship of late classical tenor Chesterton Ali, saw him become a multiple Music Festival winner, earning accolades such as Most Outstanding Vocalist and Male Vocal Champion. Edwards’ debut album, ‘Ray of Hope’, was released in 2006, and he also performed with the international cast of ‘Porgy and Bess’. On the media front, Edwards served as a Senior Producer at Talk City 91.1FM, promoting local music. His contribution to both music and media has left an indelible legacy.
