Trinidadian Deported from Guyana Post Cybercrime Allegation

Gabriel Harrigin, a Trinidad and Tobago national, was recently deported by Guyanese immigration authorities following detention, despite being cleared of previous cybercrime-related allegations. Harrigin was supposed to report to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) but was taken into custody by immigration officials. It is speculated that his deportation may be due to overstaying his permitted time in Guyana. Prior to his detention, Harrigin had been searching for local employment. Earlier, Harrigin was arrested following complaints from several young women that intimate content was shared online without their consent, though he was later exonerated. To date, neither the Guyanese immigration authorities nor the law enforcement agencies have commented on the case.
