Port-of-Spain was buzzing with energy and anticipation as steelpan rhythms echoed through its streets on Wednesday, marking the final leg of the Northern Region National Large Conventional Band Preliminaries. Despite a slight delay in the start time, bands performed to enthusiastic audiences late into the night, contributing to an electric atmosphere. The festivities were accompanied by heavy traffic as crowds moved between panyards, with each stop drawing larger crowds. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including the Minister for Culture and Community Development and the president of Pan Trinbago. The night concluded with a performance by the Desperadoes Steel Orchestra, leaving audiences thrilled and eagerly awaiting the semi-finals to be held at Queen’s Park Savannah.
