A tragic shooting that occurred during a live TikTok video in Guyana has resulted in six individuals being charged for not reporting the unnatural death. The incident happened on January 18, 2025, when murder suspect Jamal Bourne, known as ‘Skinny’, accidentally shot himself while brandishing a firearm on camera. After removing a live round from the chamber but not the magazine, another round automatically loaded. In a misguided attempt to threaten his rivals, Bourne put the gun to his head and pulled the trigger, fatally injuring himself. His body was later discovered burned in the area. Those charged for failing to report the death were arrested a year later on January 20, 2026, and appeared in Linden Magistrate’s Court six days later. All adult defendants, except for one minor, pleaded guilty and were fined $9,750 in Guyana’s currency each.
