Alleyne is demanding an apology from the mayor by the end of the week, failing which he will proceed with a defamation lawsuit. The controversy centers around a social media post by Parris which Alleyne claims undermined his dignity and standing as a journalist. The post, which was seen by approximately 18,000 people across various platforms, reportedly referred to Alleyne as an ‘attention seeker’.
