A total of 28 illegal immigrants were arrested by St. Joseph Police during a late-night operation in Curepe. The operation spanned from Sunday night into the early hours of Monday and resulted in the recovery of 100 units of 9mm ammunition. The arrested group consisted of 22 males and six females. Despite the ammunition discovery, no illegal items were found on the arrested individuals. The ammunition was discovered in a plastic crate thanks to the assistance of a police K-9 unit. As of now, no arrests have been made in relation to the discovered ammunition. Following verification, three males were released, while 14 received detention orders. The remaining immigrants are still held in custody, awaiting further instructions from Immigration authorities. The six arrested females are being held at the St. Joseph Police Station.
