Wanted Gospel Singer Claims Forced Role in Robbery

A 30-year-old gospel singer, Jovon Marcus Les-Pierre, who performs as Jovi Ton, is currently wanted by police in relation to an armed robbery at Spill Restaurant in Woodbrook. Les-Pierre has publically stated that he had been forced to drive the getaway vehicle and had no prior knowledge of the robbery. The incident occurred on February 24, when three armed men entered the restaurant, assaulted two employees, and robbed them of their mobile phones. They also made away with the restaurant’s cash register. The suspects are believed to have fled the area in a black Honda City, which was later found crashed near Queen’s Park Savannah. The car had been rented to Les-Pierre, who claims he was simply accepting a routine transportation job. Les-Pierre is currently in hiding due to fear for his safety and is seeking legal representation.
