The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has faced severe criticism from relatives who demand justice for the recent killing of Joshua Samaroo. The family contends that Samaroo was surrendering before he was shot by the police. They also allege that there was an attempted execution of his common-law wife, Kaia Sealy, a US citizen. Despite the statements made by Police Commissioner Allister Guevarro, asserting the couple was involved in a shoot-out with officers, Christopher Samaroo, the father of the deceased, remains unconvinced. He has pledged to persist in his quest for justice.
