Privacy Policy

This policy explains the information processed when you use the TG News app, Community and contributor tools, Pulse, subscriptions, advertising services and news. Effective date: August 30, 2026.

Who we are

TG News is operated by TrinGlobe Media News. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to support@tringlobe.com. This policy covers the TG News mobile app and the services at news.tringlobe.com.

Information we collect

Accounts and profiles

If you create an account, we process your email address, Firebase user ID, authentication state and security information needed for sign-in, password reset, verification and optional multi-factor authentication. A profile may include a display name, username, photo, country, contributor status, badges and communication preferences.

Content and activity

We process articles you read or save, country/language preferences, Community posts, comments, reactions, live traffic/weather/hazard reports, direct messages, reports, blocks, news tips, contributor submissions, drafts, scheduled publishing packages, uploaded media and promotional campaign information. Public profile fields and content you choose to publish can be seen by other users.

Location

Location is optional. When you choose “Use my current location” or select a map point for a live report, the app can send a foreground device coordinate, country and readable place information to TG News. Ordinary Community locations are rounded before storage and public display; a public place deliberately selected by the user may be stored more precisely. TG News does not request background location and does not continuously track your location.

Device, notifications and logs

We process Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens, platform information, notification preferences, account linkage and token hashes to deliver notifications. Our systems and service providers may process IP address, timestamps, browser/app information, security events, request status, errors and diagnostics for reliability, fraud prevention and abuse control.

Purchases, rewards and advertising

Google Play and RevenueCat process Premium and Contributor Blue purchases. TG News receives product, transaction reference, entitlement and subscription status, but does not receive your full payment-card number for Google Play purchases. TG Coins are internal, non-transferable reward credits and are not cash or cryptocurrency. Google Mobile Ads may process advertising identifiers, device/app information, ad interactions, attribution, diagnostics and privacy signals according to your device, consent and Google settings. Promote With Us processes campaign, media, contact, order/payment state and approval information.

Website data

The website uses necessary WordPress cookies for login, security, preferences, comments and commerce where applicable. It may use Google Analytics 4, AdSense and embedded content. Those providers may set cookies or process interaction, browser, device and network information according to their policies and available consent controls.

How we use information

Provide news, feeds, search, translation, saved content, maps and weather summaries.
Create and secure accounts, profiles and contributor access.
Publish and display Community, contributor and Pulse content.
Deliver messages and notifications selected by users.
Process subscriptions, entitlements, advertising campaigns and internal rewards.
Moderate content, investigate reports, prevent abuse and keep audit records.
Operate, troubleshoot, protect and improve the service.
Meet legal, accounting, security and dispute-resolution obligations.

When information is shared

Information may be made public when you publish it, shared with another user when you message them, provided to authorized TG staff and moderators, or processed by providers needed to operate the service. These include Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Messaging, Firestore and Storage), Google Play Billing, Google Mobile Ads and AdServices, RevenueCat, WordPress/hosting providers, MapLibre/OpenFreeMap and platform geocoding, met.no weather data, email/service providers and payment providers used by the website. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect people or systems, enforce policies or investigate fraud and abuse.

Community and TG Live reports are user- or TG-provided utility updates and are not automatically verified official news or government warnings.

Retention

Retention depends on the record and purpose. Active account/profile data is kept while the service is provided. Public content remains until deleted, removed or expired under the applicable feature. Messages, reports, moderation history, trust events, publishing ownership, transaction/accounting records, scheduled-package state and security/audit logs may be retained as reasonably necessary for service integrity, disputes, legal obligations and abuse prevention. Some records may be de-identified rather than erased.

Your choices and requests

You can change profile and notification settings, deny location or notification permission, delete your own Community posts, block users, manage Google ad/device choices, restore/manage Play subscriptions and request account deletion in the app. You may also ask for access, correction or deletion by contacting support@tringlobe.com. We may need to verify the request.

Security and international processing

We use HTTPS and access controls, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Providers may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable terms and safeguards.

Children

TG News is a general news service intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information should contact us.

External links and content

Articles and posts may link to or embed third-party websites, video, social media and other services. Their privacy practices apply when you use them.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service changes. The current effective date will appear at the top. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or through available account contact information.
