In an act of social advocacy, Stuart Young, SC MP, on behalf of Wendell Eversley, confronted the Minister of Finance with a pre-action protocol letter. The reason for this action was the Minister’s failure to provide the audited financial statements of the Heritage and Stabilisation Fund to Parliament, as required by law. The audited financial statements were eventually presented only after the Ministry of Finance requested an extension of time for compliance. It was revealed that the UNC Government had withdrawn $2.8 Billion TTD or $410 Million USD from the Fund in 2025. The report had been on the Minister of Finance’s desk since November 27, 2025, and only came to light after the threat of legal action. The public is left questioning where and what this significant amount of money was spent on.
