Uncle Crazy Distances Himself From Controversial “Pink & Pretty” Song

Uncle Crazy Distances Himself From Controversial Song

Veteran entertainer Uncle Crazy has publicly clarified that he had no involvement in the controversial song performed by 13-year-old rising artiste Yung Niy Niy, which recently sparked debate across social media.

Speaking on the matter, Uncle Crazy said he does not support the lyrics or message of the song and would never encourage the young singer to perform material he believes is inappropriate for her age.

“I have nothing to do with that song. I would never tell Yung Niy Niy to sing a song like that,” he stated, explaining that the track was recorded within a group of young people and was not something he was involved in creating or promoting.

While distancing himself from the song, Uncle Crazy was quick to defend the young artiste’s talent and future potential. He described Yung Niy Niy as a gifted performer with the ability to become one of Trinidad and Tobago’s next major international stars.

“What I know about Yung Niy Niy is that she has talent. She has the ability to be a big star in the future. She’s only 13 years old and I believe people will hear great things from her as she grows and develops,” he said.

The entertainer noted that Yung Niy Niy not only performs songs written by others but is also developing her own songwriting abilities. He revealed that he has personally worked with her in the past, helping to introduce her to genres such as parang soca and other aspects of the local music industry.

Acknowledging the backlash surrounding the song, Uncle Crazy urged the public to show understanding and forgiveness toward the young artiste.

“We all make mistakes. Nobody is perfect. Let’s forgive her and show love to our future talented young artiste,” he said.

He also offered an apology to anyone who may have believed he was connected to the song or its lyrics.

“If I made anybody feel ashamed or uncomfortable because they thought I was involved, I apologize. I do not support those kinds of lyrics, and I don’t think you will hear anything like that from her again.”

Despite the controversy, Uncle Crazy maintained that Yung Niy Niy’s future should not be defined by a single song, emphasizing that she remains a talented young performer with significant potential and a promising career ahead of her.
