A young Trinidadian TikTok creator known for documenting his journey of hustling and entrepreneurship says he is trying to recover after being allegedly robbed during what he believed was a vehicle transaction.
Mikhail, who has amassed more than 18,500 followers and over 768,000 likes on TikTok, shared an emotional video detailing the incident, which he claims occurred in Pinto.
The content creator has become known online for his relatable videos showing him selling homemade juices, attempting various small business ventures, promoting products and openly discussing the challenges of making ends meet. Many of his followers have watched his journey as he searched for opportunities to improve his circumstances through hard work and determination.
In a recent video, Mikhail alleged that he had been communicating with a man about purchasing a vehicle. According to his account, he was encouraged to withdraw money for what was supposed to be a down payment and expenses related to the transfer process.
He claimed that after making several trips to collect his money and complete the arrangement, he was directed to a location where he encountered a man on a motorcycle. Mikhail alleged that the individual demanded his belongings and took his iPhone 11 and watch.
While he said the watch held little value, the young man expressed particular concern about losing his phone, explaining that it contained his contacts, WhatsApp conversations and important personal information accumulated over years.
The emotional impact of the incident appeared to be even greater than the financial loss.
“When you’re working hard for your own things and somebody takes it from you, it hurts,” he said during the video.
Mikhail also claimed he reported the matter to police and provided a description of the individual involved.
Throughout his social media journey, Mikhail has often spoken about the difficulties of trying to get ahead while remaining focused on legitimate means of earning an income. Supporters say that is one reason many viewers have connected with his content.
His story has since attracted sympathy from followers, many of whom have encouraged him to remain positive and continue pursuing his goals despite the setback.
While the allegations have not been independently verified, the incident serves as another reminder of the risks associated with private transactions and meeting unfamiliar individuals during vehicle sales and purchases.
For now, the young content creator says he is hoping to recover his information, replace what was lost and continue moving forward.
