In the 2026 Tobago House of Assembly (THA) Elections, the Tobago People’s Party (T.P.P.) emerged victorious, winning all 15 electoral districts as announced by the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) on Tuesday. The elections witnessed a voter turnout of around 50.69% among the 53,239 registered voters in Tobago. The preliminary tabulation by the EBC showed T.P.P. garnering 16,240 votes, followed by People’s National Movement (P.N.M.) with 10,456 votes, Independent Democratic Alliance (I.D.A.) with 181 votes, and United Tobago Party (U.T.P.) with 8 votes. A total of 26,885 valid votes were cast, and 104 ballots were rejected. However, the results are still provisional as the P.N.M. has requested recounts in two electoral districts, with recounts slated to start today.
