Over a 72-hour period, police in Central and Tobago Divisions carried out twin anti-crime operations, seizing two firearms and multiple rounds of ammunition. The Central Division Task Force, backed by the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment, conducted an intelligence-led operation in Cunupia on 3rd March 2026, yielding a firearm and seven rounds of 9mm ammunition. Meanwhile, Tobago Divisional Task Force officers conducted a similar operation in the Moriah Police Station District on 2nd March 2026, discovering a Taurus firearm and 19 rounds of 9mm ammunition. All seized items have been sent to the Criminal Records Office for forensic examination and further analysis in the ongoing investigations.
