Government Partners with Private Sector on Non-Energy Plan

Satyakama Maharaj, the Minister of Trade, Investment and Tourism, recently announced that his ministry is spearheading an immediate action plan aimed at non-energy sectors. The plan’s success is heavily reliant on a partnership with the private sector. During an Angostura event, Maharaj affirmed that the government is not operating independently, but instead is collaborating closely with the Private Sector Organisation of Trinidad and Tobago (PSOTT). The partnership signifies an important step towards fostering economic development and diversification beyond the energy sector.
