Residents of Pranz Gardens were left stunned yesterday after a woman and her partner were discovered dead inside their home in what police believe is a murder–suicide.
Around 7:20 a.m., officers responded to a report at a house on Abraham Street, where they found 42-year-old Angel Lutchman lying on the floor with her throat slit. Nearby, her partner, 29-year-old Shazard Mohammed, was discovered hanging from an electrical cord tied to a rafter above the bed.
Investigators believe the couple died during the night. Relatives told police the two had been in a relationship.
The horrifying discovery was made by Lutchman’s 13-year-old son, who normally lives with his aunt but had gone to the house that morning. After finding the bodies, the teen alerted relatives, who immediately contacted police.
Lutchman was the mother of one. Mohammed’s family told investigators he was employed with Digicel.
